Why AStar

Not just another summer program.

Most programs teach kids about things. We give them the tools, the mentorship, and the stage to actually make something and prove it to the world.

Your child walks away with

A finished product, not a certificate

By the end of their week, every student has something real to show: a working app prototype, a business pitch deck, or a portfolio piece. Not a worksheet. Not a quiz score. Something they built.

Your child walks away with

Attention, not just access

Small group sizes mean your child isn't lost in a crowd. Their instructor knows their project, their pace, and their potential. Every student gets the kind of guidance that actually moves them forward. Students are grouped by grade and experience level, so the work is always appropriately challenging.

Your child walks away with

The confidence to present their ideas

The program ends with a live audience, not a Zoom call. Students present their work at our in-person exhibition fair, building the kind of real-world confidence that no classroom test can give them.

The grand finale

Three weeks of work.
One day to shine.

The program doesn't end with a quiz or a report card. It ends with a real audience. On Saturday, August 8, students take the stage at our live Exhibition Fair in Calgary, Alberta, demoing their apps, pitching their businesses, and displaying their creative work in front of the people who matter most to them.

The event runs for approximately 2.5 hours in the afternoon and is free and open to all family and friends. For most kids, it's the first time they've ever presented something they built entirely from scratch. That moment of pride, nerves and applause is something they carry long after summer ends.

Venue to be confirmed. Registered families will be notified by July 1.
